About Crop PDF
Scans arrive with borders: the dark edge of a platen, the shadow of a book gutter, the wide white frame from a phone photo. Those margins waste paper when printing and space when reading on a phone.
Cropping trims a uniform margin from every page, tightening the document around its content.

When it helps
- • Removing scanner shadow from the edge of every page.
- • Tightening margins so a document reads better on a phone.
- • Trimming crop marks and bleed from a print-ready file.
- • Cutting away a header band left by a fax or copier.
Good to know
- • Cropping adjusts the visible page box; the underlying content is preserved rather than deleted, so an aggressive crop can be undone by re-cropping outward.
- • The same margin applies to every page, so mixed page sizes may need separate passes.
