About Remove Watermark
Watermarks outlive their purpose. A template you bought still carries the vendor's mark, a DRAFT stamp remains on a document that was finalised months ago, or your own logo needs replacing after a rebrand.
This tool looks for watermark objects — repeated text stamps and overlay images — in PDF and Word files and removes them from the page content.

When it helps
- • Clearing a DRAFT or SAMPLE stamp from a finalised document.
- • Removing an old logo from a template after a rebrand.
- • Cleaning up a document you own before re-issuing it.
- • Stripping a watermark you added yourself to the wrong file.
Good to know
- • Only remove watermarks from documents you own or are licensed to modify. Stripping marks from someone else's copyrighted work is not permitted and is against our terms.
- • Watermarks flattened into a scanned page image cannot be separated from the content.
- • Marks drawn behind text sometimes leave faint traces where they overlapped graphics.
